Verification

Verify a document issued with BITA.

Scan the document's QR code or type the code printed next to it. You'll see who issued it, when, and whether it is still valid.

The verification is answered by BITA, not by the company that issued the document. The verification page is in Spanish.

What it shows

What the verification confirms.

  • Who issued itThe company that issued the document through BITA.
  • Which document it isThe document type, its number and its date.
  • Its status todayValid or voided. If voided, when and why.
  • The documentThe PDF exactly as issued, to compare with the one you have.

The code

Where it is and why you can trust it.

The code is printed next to the document's QR code: 10 letters and numbers split by a hyphen (for example, K7Q4M-X29TR). It never uses O, I, L, 0 or 1, so they can't be confused.

It is created when the document is issued and can't be guessed. If the document you have doesn't match the one the verification shows, it isn't the original.

Questions

What people ask about verification.

Do I need an account to verify?

No. Anyone can verify a document, without creating an account or installing anything.

What does it mean that a document is voided?

That the company that issued it withdrew it, with a reason. It stays visible, marked as voided, so nobody uses it as if it were valid.

What if the code isn't found?

Check that it's typed correctly. If it still isn't found, the document wasn't issued with BITA or the code doesn't belong to the original: ask the company that gave it to you.
